A Rigid Inflatable Boat (RHIB) in various hull sizes (4.2, 6.2 and 7.0 metres.) The 7.0 metre RHIB has twin engines and can achieve speeds of over 35 knots. All Sprite II variants can tow sub targets. The 6.2 and 7.0 metre versions are capable of manned or unmanned operation and can be equipped with a towing winch with a 500 metre tow-line capacity.
The smallest Sprite II vessel is fitted with a single 50 HP engine providing a typical maximum speed in excess of 30 knots whilst the 7.0 metre-long vessel is fitted with one or two outboard engines for a total power output of approximately 150 HP.
In common with Sprite, the entire Sprite II system has been designed to allow operation by personnel with minimum training. Automatic functionality and checking has been incorporated into the remote control system, including a facility to allow the operator to select mission profiles from a menu of pre-loaded options. The system has built-in limits, preventing operators from accidental loss of control.
